What is Civil Construction
Civil construction is the building of roads, airports, water, defense, marine, power and rail. It is a vital part of the infrastructure needed for our day to day living.
Our training courses in Civil Construction will provide you with the skills to work in road construction, rail and on building sites and may be a useful entry to the mining sector.
Be part of something big and learn to operate powerful earthmoving equipment such as excavators, bobcats and dozers. Get busy and active in the great outdoors working amongst your fellow earthmovers. Use pumps to dewater construction sites, install underground services, build roads, levelling pads and much more.

Mode of delivery includes individual coaching, group based training, classroom workshops and practical worksite scenarios.Duration for on the job training will be negotiated with the workplace and learner to meet their requirements and the AQF guidelines.
For off the job training, duration is a minimum of 8 weeks full time, some students may require extra training time to achieve competency.
Location is either at the workplace, at the practical worksite or in the classroom at 270 Rosslyn St, West Melbourne.
Resources are provided by Newskills, however students must provide their own safety boots.
